In 2003, I was a WV high school first team all state soccer player. From 2008-2010 I had a special opportunity to be the assistant coach of a Legendary High School coach - Jim Dagostine. Jim has won multiple state championships and I was assistant to a group that went unscored on for 20 games and ranked nationally. I thought I knew a lot about the game from playing, but it was extra special to see it from the coaching perspective and what it takes to be championship caliber. From 2020-present, I’ve had a new perspective- coaching my children. Its great to get back into the game and see all my players’ development. Children have a unique way of learning, and the most important thing is that it has to be fun. Looking back at my soccer career, its hard to beat those elementary years for fun. I hope I can instill my joy for the game into the children while coaching properly.
