U16/U19 Girls Head Coach
Alex played soccer through high school but had to stop playing when he got to college since Asbury didn't have any scholarships during his time there and it was evident soccer wasn't going to be a long-term career. Aside from playing some pickup games on and off he largely left the sport until his son started playing I AM 3rd soccer in elementary school. That I AM 3rd team eventually became the Trinity Middle School Boys soccer team. Alex coached them through 8th grade until they went on to the High School team.
Once that group graduated, Alex assumed he was done coaching as his daughters had shown zero interest in any team sports until last year. Alex's focus in coaching is about learning the fundamentals of the game like spacing, passing and defense. Along the way the players should learn to be confident in themselves as people and reliable as teammates. Soccer is a great sport for learning how you fit in a whole. Seeing how your actions impact the whole even when you don't have the ball is a great lesson that goes far beyond the pitch.
